Labour is winning the Social Media Campaign in Kent with English Democrats a close second

With the Kent Police Commissioner Elections kicked off in Kent, English Passport thought it would take a look into the 6 Social Media Campaigns for the 6 Candidates, with no free leaflet drop, then a solid Social Media and Internet Campaign is essential for the candidates to get their various messages across to the voting public.

So in alphabetically order

Henry Bolton of UKIP, has two twitter accounts badged up for the Kent PCC election, but we have discounted the lesser one. But his biggest one, boasts 266 people “signed up” to the Henry Bolton campaign for Police Commissioner, and his Campaign Facebook page adds a further 120, giving Henry a grand total of 386 Votes so far, putting him in 4th place.

David Sandru of the Liberal Democrats, has a Twitter account and a Facebook Page for the Campaign, one has 71, and the other has 72, that’s 28 less then then the number of signatures he required to stand in the election (100) – his grand total of votes so far is 143, putting him in last place.

Tris Osborne of Labour, has a very impressive Twitter account of 3,776 supporters, but he does not have a Facebook page for the Police Commissioner Elections, instead he has an old one for the 2015 General Election, with 95 Followers, which we have counted. He therefore gets a grand total of 3,871 Votes so far, putting him in 1st Place.

Gurvinder Sandher (Independent), does not appear to have a Twitter Account, neither does he have a Facebook Page, he does have a Facebook Profile, that he is using for this campaign, so English Passport has counted this at 220 Friends. Giving Gurvinder a total of 220.

Matt Scott of the Conservatives
, who has rather unfortunately branded his campaign as “Scott for Kent”, has both a campaign Twitter account and Facebook Page, with 427 and 194 Followers and Likes respectively, giving the Scott running in Kent a total of 621 Votes, putting him in 3rd place.

Steve Uncles of the English Democrats, has both Twitter and Facebook Pages for his Campaign, being the Campaign Director for the English Democrats you would hope so !
His followers are likes are 1,210 and 2,474, giving him the biggest Facebook following of the 6 candidates by far, but his short fall on Twitter, means he is in second place overall with 3,684 Votes.

So there you have it based on Social Media the run off in Kent would be between Tris Osborne of Labour and Steve Uncles of the English Democrats.
